Granite Countertops

We have an extensive inventory of granite to choose from in store

Because of its hardness and comparative lower price in relation to marble, granite is one of the more popular choices for kitchen countertops. A granite countertop can be cut in any shape, and it is very scratch-resistant to most kitchen tools. Aesthetically it is an ideal material for both domestic and commercial design and especially so when considering their easy care and the perceived added value as a home improvement investmen. Granite countertops cost slightly more than conventional arborite or corian countertops.

All in One Kitchen Renovations fabricates countertops from massive granite slabs found in quarries in several countries.

The slabs which are generally 10 feet by 6 feet in dimension each are cut from enormous stock blocks and then processed with surface polishing and finished with a protective resine.

We stock hundreds of the most popular and exotic stones. The final product's shape is determined by a template from the layout of your kitchen cabinets. A granite countertop can be cut to any shape. Customers can then select the style of edge profile that they prefer. After finalizing the countertops in our shop our installers transport the final product to customer's homes and carefully mounted and fit for household use.

Granite slabs are generally provided in 3/4 inch (2cm) and 1&1/4 inch (3cm) thickness. All in One specializes in the fabrication of 3cm granite slabs. We do not recommend double edging 2cm pieces as some companies do. 3cm granite provides a one piece solid countertop with a seamless edge, it is more durable and much more visually pleasing.

Depending on the time of the year we generally offer a lead time of anywhere between 2 weeks and maximum 4 weeks. Installation for an average size kitchen usually takes about 3 hours.

Granite Colours

Selection of granite colours available at All In One Kitchen
There are so many choices for granite colours

Granite's natural veins add character and warmth to any area plus the reduction in processing costs over the past few years have made them more affordable to the home owner.

The choice is yours, blue, red, white, black, green and brown, sparkling granites such as the Black Galaxy or the incredible European labradorites...there are so many choices you'll find the perfect choice to complement your kitchen.

Which granite colour is best? Lighter colors will warm up dark cabinets meanwhile darker granites add that touch of "class" to lighter cabinetry.

Once you have decided the granite colour you require, you can look over our granite selection in store, select the slab, and then reserve it to ensure you get exactly what you chose. Granite slabs with a lot of veins and movement vary so much from block to block that you need to personally select them to avoid disappointment.

Quartz Countertops

Quartz has become more popular over the years as it is a maintenance free stone surface. Quartz is an engineered stone that is manufactured worldwide using the "Bretonstone" technology . This process is a combination of natural quartz, sand and resins. The result is a natural looking stone that is durable, flexible and can stand up to the most demanding conditions without sacrificing its sheer beauty and elegance.

No sealing, polishing or reconditioning is needed. Simply wash with warm water. It's that simple. Plus the surface will resist stains from fruit juices, coffee, tea, wine, grape juice, nail polish and felt tip markers. Quartz is non-porous, making cleanup easy and preventing food and moisture from penetrating its surface - the main source of growth for harmful bacteria. There are no crevices or voids in quartz countertops for micro-organisms such as Salmonella and Staph to grow.

Quartz Colours

Quartz surfacing is available in colors not found in nature, as the crushed stone is generally mixed with pigment. Quartz is color consistent, therefore design issues such as conflicting grains, veins (movement) and fissures are eliminated. To the untrained eye, quartz surfaces appear to be natural stone. What makes it different? Natural rock is variable by nature. Colors and patterns may shift and change on a large slab. Surface pits are a mark of granite. Engineered stone, such as quartz, displays a "consistent variability" or mottling in color and texture throughout a quartz countertop. Each slab looks the same, which helps minimize the visible seams.
